Elie Saab showing his Haute Couture collection in Paris. I just love the detailed embroidery and the highly worked fabrics. These dresses are definitively red carpet ready! Why o why am I not a celebrity...

Birthday weekend in Provence
So I've spent a lovely week in Aix en Provence celebrating my birthday (my 21st birthday!!) with my 2 best friends and mum. The weather was amazing, the food was delicious and the scenery was perfect! I'll share with you my beautiful birthday tea party in the next post once I've sorted through the 600 photos we took! But first I'll leave you with one of my ootd's: my new pair of shorts that I got in Zara (they remind me of Chloe) and my new fav fav bag that my mum got me for my 21st...a Louis Vuitton Noé! :) :)

Marant has done it again...
Celine made the Birkenstock 'tres cool' last year and although they are super comfy and practical, I am yet to adopt to this trend! However Parisian designer, Isabel Marant, has developed the Birkenstock by adding a cute studded bow and an ankle tie, giving off a boho vibe, which we've seen in her previous collections. I definitively have fallen for these sandals and somehow need to get my hands on them...right now!

End of a chapter
Woopidoooooooooo I have finished my Final Major Project and handed it in today! These last couple of weeks have been extremely stressful trying to get it all done and I can tell you, the sofa was definitively my spot where I spent hours typing away! Anyway, it's finished, fini, finito and I am happy with the end result! Here is me posing with a big grin on my face with my project. #happydays

Pradasphere
Hey Guys, sorry for the lack of posting. It's my last 3 weeks at The Fashion Retail Academy and all my free time is being spent on my Final Major Product!! I feel I have so much to do in so little time...
Anyway, while I was at Harrods doing a comp shop for my project I managed to spare myself some time to see Pradasphere, an exhibition that traces the passions of Muiccia Prada. It ends on the 29th May and I suggest you all go down there and have look.

Nature in France
It's my last day dans le sud and although I am sad to leave this paradise I'm kinda happy to get back into a routine and finish off my last term at the Fashion Retail Academy. I cannot believe how fast time has gone and we are already the first of May tomorrow! I'll leave you with a few pics of my surroundings and a lovely vintage dress I found in London. I just love the style and colour of the dress. Je me sens tres boheme...

Salut from Saint Tropez
Salut mes amis! I am writing this from the South of France where the sun is shining no stop! Incroyable. Trying to bronze up but it's hard when you are blanche neige and cannot be bothered sitting all day
on the sun bed.
Went with la cousine to Saint Tropez for the day to see her grandparents and took a visit to the beautiful town admiring the boutiques and super sized yachts, looking out for famous people. It did not surprise me that I didn't see anyone as I was too busy taking photos....

View of St Tropez
Went and had a peek in Maison Dior and admired the current collection...

MK Coat
It's official...I'm on holiday woohoo. 4 and a half weeks! Seems so long compared to my brother's 2 weeks Easter hols... Anyway, after rummaging in our attic and finding this gorgeous coat, I just couldn't wait to take pictures in it. Shame I've only just found it now seeing as the weather is slightly brightening up! Isn't this coat just so beautiful? The colour is amazing and goes well with my bizarre light green eyes. The fur is so soft and I haven't stopped wearing it all day. The icing on the cake is that it is a Mickael Kors coat which leaves me wondering why on earth was it hiding in the attic...But I have my hands on it now!

Monsieur Paul Smith
A couple of weeks back, a few classmates and I went to the Design Museum to see Paul Smith's exhibition "Hello my name is Paul Smith". It was extremely interesting getting to know more about Paul and his creative vision. Upon entering the exhibition you are literally stepping into his world; a world of creation and imagination. I suggest you all pop down and see this...

Somerset Bound
I am back in the West Country after having completed 3 weeks of work experience at ASOS. I was in the buying offices in the denim department and had such a fantastic time and they said I could come back whenever I wanted! 3 weeks flew by and the experience has made me want to be a buyer even more!!! Anyway, here are a few photos of me in one of my favourite Zara dresses. I love how the blouse merges into the pleated mini skirt creating a relaxed yet smart look! I'm off on a walk now to make most of this sunny spring day. Have a lovely Sunday...

Burrowing myself in food at Borough Market.
The perfect way to enjoy an afternoon is to head down to Borough Market. It was my first time experiencing this place and what a gem it is. The sun was shinning, my taste buds were exploding and the blossom trees were beautifully flowered. With my mouth watering at every stall I decided to devour myself in a Chinese duck wrap (yum!) while Megan chose the super vegan quinoa burger which looked super tasty.
But of course, we couldn't miss of the chance of having dessert. Rows of stalls lined up selling cakes, pastries and chocolate but it was the huge slice of pecan and toffee cheesecake that caught my eye. It was d.e.l.i.cious. So if you're ever stuck for lunch, head down here!!

'I don't like cities but I love NY'
My best friend, Megan, who I am living with, has been
interning at the Metropolitan Opera NY for the past 5 weeks. She regularly keeps me updated with her whereabouts such as attending NYFW,
going to the Opera and where she is dinning (lucky ey?). And all this made me think about our time, 2
years ago, when Megan and I went to New York for 2 weeks. What a fabulous time
we had.
For the first couple of days, we stayed in the Hamptons
where there was a pool and Jacuzzi; perfect for getting over the jetlag. We
then hit the city, which blew my mind and shopped, dined and visited plenty of
museums. We managed to go and see the McQueen exhibition, Savage Beauty, where
we queued for 6 hours(!!!!)…but boy was it worth it! We walked a lot and saw
all the monuments and we even got to see Sister Act on Broadway (love
musicals!!) I am totally reminiscing about my time there. Here are a few photos…
ps. Popping into Shake Shack ofc!

Nous sommes les soeurs jumelles...
Je suis tres desolée d'avoir été MIA ces jour ci but I have recently arrived back from a fabulous long weekend in Paris! It has been 6 months since my last visit and oh mon dieu the city still manages to blow me away. I arrived Thursday evening and took le metro straight away to visit my Mexican best friend and upon arrival she served me homemade nachos...gracias amiga ;) Friday was spent visiting museums and paying a quick visit to my old host family. It was great seeing the children and my old home...surreal! Croissants were on the breakfast menu Saturday and the rest of the day Adria and I ventured to Galerie Lafayette and did un peu de shopping! Sunday, we went to see the YSL movie paying tribute to one of the greatest artists of the century, a definitively must see! We then went back home and scoffed our faces with nutella crepes as it was La Chandeleur in France (pancake day)...Miam. After an amazing weekend, I reluctantly took an early train back to London and arrived on time for my 11am lesson. Why cant I commute back and forth to Paris every weekend? Who knows...maybe I will.
Adria and I in front of Sacre Coeur...My fav place.
Croissant galore, La Tour Eiffel and my old metro stop

My home away from home
Paris, the charming, beautiful, historical city is my home away from home. I lived there for over a year and a half studying and on Thursday I am heading over for a long weekend. J'ai tellement hate! I am so looking forward to catching up with my friends and host family I used to live with. Strolling through the city, whether raining, snowing or just plain freezing never fails to put a smile on my face. Here are a few pictures taken during my time there . Paris je bloomin' t'aime.

Trainers Galore
Well let’s face it. Trainers
are the only pair of shoes that you need in your life right now. They are in fact the coolest accompaniment to
a beautiful couture dress. Thanks Karl. Now, let me go rummage in the attic to
see if I can find my yr8 PE trainers….

Floral, fleur, fiore...
I bought this dress a couple of years back but still love it as much as when I first laid eyes on it. I have to admit I am a hoarder when it comes to clothes and find it hard to de-clutter my wardrobe. This dress has a timeless feeling about it and I don't think I will ever get bored of wearing it.

Zara love...
Zara has to be one of my favourite stores: chic, sophisticated and extremely fashion forward. Their designs never fail to amaze me. My mum, who is as just interested in fashion as I am, pleasantly surprised me with a couple of dresses which were bought online in the sale.
Both dresses arrived beautifully wrapped in this lovely box.
I really like the different styles. One leather, straight, shift dress, the other one long, floaty, vintage looking. Couldn't be more different but both stunning. Merci Maman, cannot wait to wear them!

Tartan, tartan everywhere....
Chanel Métiers d'Art 2013 collection
Photo: Fashion.telegraph
So last year’s catwalk crush was tartan; it was everywhere. It
stole the show at an array of fashion designers A/W 13 collection catwalks
including Saint Laurent, McQueen and Chanel. As this was such a huge trend, I
had to invest. Ultimately, I wanted a tartan scarf; a long, thick, chunky
tartan scarf. I searched high and low (the two sided Zara scarf, monochrome one
sided and tartan on the other was extremely popular with the Londoners, but not for me). Topshop
had some lovely ones but they were too thin for my liking. Then, after some
hours spent online browsing, I found the perfect one…from ASOS and when it
arrived it was 100% perfection. Thick, soft and goes around the neck twice…J’adore. I
wear it every day.

A trip to Portobello Market
A couple of weeks back, my friend and I took a trip to Portobello market. Well known for its antiques stores and vintage stalls its one of the most well known markets in London. Currently living and studying in the capital, I have actually never visited Notting Hill, but boy was it beautiful. Colourful houses all lined up looking incredibly picturesque looking down on make shift stalls and road side eateries, this place is easily one of my new fav spots. Go and check it out!
